BOLD Internet Solutions develops and supports web applications and web-based software products for nonprofits, philanthropies and related clients, as well as for its portfolio. Some projects are limited in scope and have short development timelines; others are larger multi-year, multi-phase projects.

We are developing a large-scal LAMP application using Drupal. We need one more experienced developer on our team to help us move from our Preview Release (soon) through Beta and on to Production It’s a fast-paced, exciting time!

We are developing this application for our client - a funded national startup that will change the way business is done in its market segment.

The qualified candidate must be able to demonstrate a thorough mastery of Drupal and its platform components, including mySQL and PHP. In the application, there are many workflow segments modeling business processes that must integrate with notifications and financial data. Therefore, a developer with business experience would be a given preference.

Job Duties
For this phase of development, it is important that the team work together side-by-side, in our offices. Candidates from outside the Kansas City metro area should be willing to temporarily deploy to this area for a short time. After that, working remotely would not be an obstacle.

Specifically, we are looking for someone who can focus on module development rather than the design or theming. We are developing our own modules in some cases, and, in others, dong some heavy tweaking. We also contribut back to the Drupal community when we find/fix bugs in existing module code.

The qualified candidate should have skill sets in several of the following areas, as well as a desire to gain new skill sets:

  • PHP
  • Drupal API
  • Web Services (XML, SOAP)
  • mySQL
  • AJAX
  • LAMP
  • Dreamweaver and/or Eclipse
  • optional: Flash/ActionScript
  • Understanding of web audio/video technologies
  • jQuery
  • Subversion
